There are paintings that begin with a plan, and there are paintings that quietly find their own voice.
This was one of those.
As I painted, I realized I wasn't simply creating a tree. I was painting resilience.
Life has a way of changing us. We lose places we loved, chapters we thought would last forever, and sometimes even parts of ourselves. Yet beneath every ending, something remains. Like an old tree whose trunk has been shaped by countless storms, our deepest roots often grow stronger in the seasons we never would have chosen.
I painted this tree surrounded by soft light because I wanted it to feel timeless—suspended between memory and hope. Its branches reach outward without fear, while its roots hold fast to the ground beneath it. It is both strong and gentle. Weathered, yet beautiful.
Perhaps that's why this painting speaks to me so deeply.
It reminds me that beauty isn't found in a perfect life. It is found in endurance. In grace. In continuing to bloom after difficult seasons.
When this painting finds its home, my hope is that it becomes more than artwork on a wall. I hope it becomes a quiet reminder that even after loss, there is still light. Even after change, there is still beauty. And even after the hardest winters, the heart can learn to blossom again.
The painting measures 26 x 26, comes signed and with a certificate of autenticity.
